ABOUT THE TRUST
Sutton Coldfield Recreation Trust (Registered Charity 503628) has the charitable objectives of providing facilities for the benefit of the inhabitants of Sutton Coldfield and surrounding areas for the purposes of recreation. Over the last 50 years we have built up a strong community presence providing local people with an accessible source of, recreational facilities and aspiration. In doing this our charity has developed a broad network of local organisations and sports clubs we often work with.
The Walmley Road ground, named the Roger Smoldon Ground after one of the founding trustees has become a centre of recreational, economic and social interaction for our local community. We are strongly committed to providing access to all members and groups in the local community to low cost recreational facilities.

The Greswolde Suite is a multi-purpose first floor function room with disabled lift access and the Tudor Rose bar on the ground floor.
Available for a variety of occasions including corporate events, celebrations, christening and funeral services. Onsite catering and presentation facilities also available on request.

The nearly 22 acres of the Trust site has 5 full sized rugby pitches, two of which are floodlit, plus an area used for informal mini and junior rugby and archery with hard surfaced access via the parking areas.
In addition to sports, the pitches can be used for fun fairs, circus’s, soft play adventures and hosting big screen sports action.
